Sexuality: Bisexual, with mostly asexusal tendencies
Appearance: He’s a small blue bipedal creature with a body mostly covered in cobalt blue fur, except for his muzzle, stomach and arms which are all covered in tan fur. His eyes are green and oddly shaped, looking a bit like he’s wearing wielding goggles and a small black nose. On his back and the back of his head are a set of “quills” shaped like curved blades (or shark fins) that become sharp when he curls himself into a ball and uses his spin attacks, but are actually rather soft and bendable the rest of the time. He wears plain white gloves and red shoes with a white strap around the middle of the foot that’s decorated with a gold buckle and white socks that are folded down to the ankle. Around his wrist is a bracelet that’s the same shade of blue as his fur and is decorated with a green mark that looks like side profile of a brilliant cut gem.

Update: When he enter's Drive Mode, he wears a sleeveless white vest with pale blue trim and curved designs in the same color decorating it. His normal sneakers are replaced with white boots with translucent blue soles that glowed softly. His gloves are backed by two thick silver bands and each had a blue orb shaped object on the back. Wind Sphere also "disappears."
Personality: Sonic embodies the wind. Laid back, free spirited and adventurous, he likes having the freedom to do whatever he wants and wanders where he pleases. He’s extremely impatient and will often jump into a situation without thinking about it first and he has near unshakable confidence even in the most dire situations. He’s very out going and cares a lot about other people, and he values both his freedom and his friends very highly. Sonic hates oppression and will go to any length to help anyone in trouble.
Another thing about him is that at times Sonic tends to act like a big kid. He has a short attention span, which gets shorter if he’s forced to sit still for more than a minute and he often comes off as treating every situation like some sort of game, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to be serious. He enjoys poking fun at others, especially people who he considers uptight, such as Knuckles. He doesn’t really pay much attention to how things such as machines work and he’s not very knowledgeable outside of things he feels he needs to know so there are some who would say he’s not very intelligent, but he can actually be perceptive about people at times.
Abilities/Strengths: As his name suggests, his trade mark ability is super speed. He’s capable of running fast enough to break the sound barrier and he has very quick reflexes.. He can also curl up into a ball and hurl himself at objects in order to smash them which is called a Sonic Spin. This can also be used on the ground as a “Spin Dash” and an ability related to it is the Homing Attack which allows him to attack multiple enemies in rapid succession from midair.. He also has a variety of other attacks and abilities, most of which are based around the use of wind or have something to do with speed. Many of these are boosted or utilized through the Wind Sphere.
He’s also capable of using the power of the chaos emeralds. With Chaos Control he is so far capable of teleporting himself from one place to another and when all seven chaos emeralds brought together, he can transform into an invulnerable “Super Form,” which is, however, rather difficult to control at times.
Update: Recently Wind Sphere has evolved to a point where Sonic can now access a new special form called Drive Mode. In Drive Mode his clothing changes and he receives a new set of stronger attacks and the ability to fly unaided as he does in Super Form, but is not invulnerable. He does become slightly more resistant to damage though. Drive Mode is only about half as powerful as Super Form and takes a lot of energy out of the user, especially when first used.
Weapons: Wind Sphere- This is basically the source of most of Sonic “Magic” type attacks (the special attacks from Sonic Adventure and the attacks from SA2B's two player mode). It’s also capable of linking up with other similar devices in order to create joint attacks and put a little extra punch in the Team Blasts. All of Sonic’s friends have a device similar to this, given to them by Tikal at some point between the Chaos incident and the fight with Metal Overlord. Update: Wind Sphere becomes the two orb shaped objects on the backs of his gloves in Drive Mode.
Weaknesses: He’s brash, impatient and often doesn’t think before acting. His biggest weakness, however, is water. He suffers from a severe case of aquaphobia, leaving him powerless in water deep enough to swim in as he can’t swim and tends to suffer panic attacks in such an environment. He also has a more minor fear of thunder storms.
Also in Sonic’s version of reality, the chaos emeralds are extremely difficult to control and the first few times he tried resulted in him nearly hurting one of his friends in the process, so for a while, a part of him was afraid of them and even now that he’s over it and has more control over the Super Sonic transformation, he’s still wary of using it.
